JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited is registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a PSD Agent of Premier Payment Solutions Ltd. (PPS Money). PPS Money is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority firm reference Number 914814 and His Majesty's Revenue and Customs registration number XFML00000145124. We are bound by the Data Protection Act 1998 registration number CSN6782832.
These Terms and Conditions govern the terms under which you may access and use the Service. By accessing, registering with, and using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms and Conditions do not access, register with, or use the Service.
The terms 'JBM Remittance', 'we', 'us', and 'our' refer to JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited, together with its employees, directors, successors, affiliates, and assigns. The terms 'you' and '‘your' refer to users of the Service, whether in their capacity as Senders, Recipients, or visitors to our website or app.
It is important that you read and understand these Terms, which will apply to all dealings between the Clients and JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited. Clients should visit these Terms and Conditions regularly to ensure they are aware of any updates or additions to the terms. If there are any terms that the Client does not understand or does not agree with, they should contact JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited to discuss.
Use of the Service and Age Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to access or use the Service as a Sender. You must be able to form legally binding contracts under applicable law.
Fraudulent beneficiaries do exist, so should you receive a request and are unsure if it is legitimate, then confirm directly with the requestor.
Our Terms and Conditions are applicable to each transaction, so if you submit a transaction, you confirm you are requesting that we process the transaction on your behalf, an offer which we may accept or reject at our sole discretion. If for some reason we decide not to process the transaction, we will notify you and return the money you paid to us.
Our website
To use the Service on our website and app, you will need to register and set up an account (your 'Account'). You will need to provide a username and choose a strong password which will give you access to certain areas of our website and app. You should change your password on a regular basis to ensure your account remains secure as this is your sole and absolute responsibility. Do not share your registration details with anyone else or allow anyone to use your account for any purpose. If you encounter any problems with these processes, you should notify us as soon as possible. We will perform verification checks as detailed outlined in our Anti-Money Laundering policy.
Currency Exchange
The applicable exchange rate to your Transaction(s) shall be the rate in effect on the day that we receive your payment, not the day you order the Transaction. If we receive your funds on a non-business day, the currency exchange rate to be applied will be the rate in effect on the next business day (when financial markets open).
JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited will only provide a currency exchange service associated with the Transaction(s) contracted by the Customer pursuant to this Agreement. We and the intermediary service providers may profit when you pay for a Transaction in one currency and the Transaction is paid out in another currency, which is based on the difference between the exchange rate at which we buy foreign currency, and the exchange rate provided to you. You agree, when you send a Transaction to a Beneficiary's bank account, that the bank account is denominated in the same currency as the Transaction (e.g., if your Transaction calls for us to deposit Euro into the Beneficiary's bank account, then you confirm that the Beneficiary's bank account is denominated in Euro).
Your Payment Information
You will be asked to provide details of the payment instrument you wish to use, such as your credit/debit card or bank account (your 'Payment Instrument') so that we may collect payment from you when you initiate a transaction. Where appropriate, you authorize us to debit your chosen Payment Instrument with the Transaction Amount and Transaction Fee. It is your responsibility to ensure that you represent and warrant that you are the lawful owner of these Payment Instrument(s) and that the details you supply to us are accurate.
Sending Money
We strongly recommend you only send money to people you know. To send money, just log into your JBM Remittance account where you will then be required to enter your payment instructions which include: the amount of money you wish to send; the currency; the Recipient’s details (such as name, email address, IBAN), including the country in which the Recipient resides or (in the case of a payment to a business) is incorporated or otherwise based; and IBAN (or relevant account number). Subject to the Payment Method chosen and the legal requirements applicable in your region, you may be asked to provide additional verification information.
Prior to you confirming a transaction, we will provide you with the foreign exchange conversion rate that will be applied to your transaction and the fee we will charge for the transaction (the 'Transaction Fee'). We will also provide you with the exact amount the Recipient will receive (the 'Pay-out Amount') after currency conversion and deduction of the Transaction Fee.
To send money using our JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited, we may use one of our payment partners to complete the transfer to a Recipient. The funds will be credited to the relevant payment partner. The payment partner shall then be responsible for ensuring the onward transmission of the payment to the Recipient. Once such credit has been made by us, we shall not be responsible for the onward transmission of such funds by that payment partner. Any complaints about us or the services we provide should be addressed to us in the first instance by contacting Customer Service at contactus@jbmremittance.com.
Be aware that banks have specified cut-off times for the receipt and dispatch of electronic payments. JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any delay in onward payment due to the late arrival of funds or instruction of payment relative to the cut-off times of the designated bank.
Transaction Fees, Authorisation to Charge and Interest
For each transaction you make, JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited may charge a commission in addition to the money you want to transfer. You also agree to pay JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited a transaction fee (the "transaction fee") in addition to the monetary amount of the transaction. Additional fees may apply when you submit a Transaction that results in a non-sufficient fund or chargeback. You agree to reimburse JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited for any fees incurred.
Depending on the payment mode you elect, there could be an additional commission charged by the payment gateway.
For JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited to collect payment from you, you hereby authorize JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited to access, charge, or debit funds from any of the payment instruments you provide us in connection with your use of the Service including but not limited to credit card, debit card, or bank account (hereinafter ‘JBM Remittance account). If your payment fails or is insufficient, we may re-try debiting your JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited account one or more times or you may authorize us to debit a different form of payment. For example, if there are insufficient funds in your bank account at the time you submit the Transaction, upon obtaining your authorization and specific instructions, we will debit the alternative form of payment disclosed by you.
You will not be entitled to any interest during the period in which the funds to be remitted are with the Bank, or pending remittance, or are during remittance, or for any other period. JBM Remittance may, at any time and at our sole discretion, limit the amount to be transferred, either on a per transaction basis or on an aggregated basis.
Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel your agreement with us after you have submitted a transaction. This right of cancellation continues until 14 days after you have submitted the transaction, or until we have completed the contract by paying out the Transaction Amount (after conversion into the Recipient's currency) to the Recipient, whichever occurs sooner. If you exercise your right to cancel under this clause, we reserve the right to apply a cancellation fee. If you wish to cancel a transaction and/or request a refund, contact us via email at contactus@jbmremittance.com.
We will make every effort not to debit your payment account after receipt of your request for cancellation. However, in some cases, we may have initiated an irreversible request for funds prior to receiving your request for cancellation. In such cases, your payment account may be debited even if you have canceled your Transaction, but we will refund your money usually within three (3) business days after we have received the funds from your financial institution.
Refunds will be credited back to the same payment account used to pay for the Transaction. Refunds are only made in the currency of the payment account. Refund amounts will not be adjusted to account for changes in the value of the currency from the time your Transaction was submitted.
Refunds will not be processed should JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited or any of its authorized delegates have reason to believe that a crime has occurred, is occurring, or may potentially occur as a result of transmitting money by the customer or refunding the money by the customer; or JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited is otherwise barred by law from making a refund.
Identification and Collection of Information
We need your email and mobile to identify you as a user. To confirm that we have received your information correctly, we will send you an email with a link and an SMS with a code to activate your account.
As a means of identifying Customers to perform operations through the JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited application, Customers should provide their contact email address and the password they will use to access the online platform. Once the contact details are provided, Customers will receive an email with a link that they will have to access to activate their user accounts.
JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited may at any time modify the mechanisms of identification and authentication to update and improve security systems; in this case, a message will be communicated to the JBM Remittance website to notify all Customers. JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited reserves the right to check and verify the Customer's identification data through public and private search data means applicable to identity searches and confirmation. The Customer undertakes to preserve the confidentiality of the information provided to JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited for authentication. In case of loss, theft, or any event that could affect its confidentiality, the Customer must inform JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited immediately. Until JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited is notified, JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited will be released from all responsibility carried out in such a time interval.
We are regulated by the FCA and HMRC, and as such, we are required by law to assist in the fight against money laundering activities and the funding of terrorism by obtaining, verifying, and recording identifying information about all customers. In accordance with our obligations under The Money Laundering Regulations 2007, we may therefore require you to supply us with sufficient personal information to enable us to verify your residential address and personal details which we will use to confirm your identity. Because of this, we may ask for photographic evidence of your identity such as a copy of your passport or other form of identification.

Limitations of Liability
We provide the Service using reasonable care and diligence. We use reasonable endeavours to make sure the Service is available except for planned maintenance, for which 24 hours' notice will be given by the placing of a notice on our website or app, or by providing you with an alert through the Service; or unscheduled maintenance during normal business hours (UK time) or otherwise, for which we will use reasonable endeavours to give you advance notice by the placing of a notice on our website or app or by providing you with an alert through the Service.
Due to the nature of the Internet and technology, the Service is provided on an 'as available' and 'as is' basis. This means that we are unable to promise that your use of the Service will be uninterrupted, without delays, error-free, or meet your expectations, and we do not give any commitment relating to the performance or availability of the Service in these Terms and Conditions and, to the extent we are able to do so, we exclude any commitments that may be implied by law.
We are also not responsible, to the extent permitted under any applicable law, for any delay in performing/processing any transactions or any of our other obligations if this is caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as changes in law, withdrawal of a foreign currency, strikes or labour disputes, imposition of sanctions over a beneficiary, or natural disasters. We will notify you as soon as we can if we are unable to perform a transaction for any of these reasons and will use reasonable measures to secure the return of any money paid by you.
To the extent permitted under any applicable law, in no event shall JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited, our subsidiaries, officers, agents, partners, or employees be responsible to you in any way beyond the sum of £500.00 (in addition, when applicable, to refunding the transaction amount and transaction fees). However, in the event that we make a payment that is not in accordance with your instructions (e.g., we send the transfer to the wrong recipient), we will refund you that payment in full.
For security reasons, we strongly recommend that you only send money through the Service to people you know personally. Should you choose to pay third parties for goods and services using the Service, you acknowledge that JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited has no control over, and is not responsible for, the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of such goods or services and that any such use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.
Intellectual Property
You acknowledge that the Service, including but not limited to the content of our websites, text, graphics, links, buttons, logos, and images, as well as all other patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, service marks, logos, and product and service names are owned exclusively by JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited (the "Intellectual Property").
You agree not to display, use, copy, or modify the Intellectual Property in any manner. You are authorized solely to view and retain a copy of the pages of our websites for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You further agree not to:
- Engage in or use any automated devices, data mining, robots, scraping, or similar data gathering or extraction methods to access or use the Service;
- Modify, copy, frame, scrape, rent, lease, loan, sell, distribute or create derivative works based on the Service, in whole or in part, except that the foregoing does not apply to the information that you legally upload to the Service;
- Remove or alter any author, trademark, or other proprietary notice or legend displayed on our websites (or printed pages thereof); or
- Infringe Company's or any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property rights, or rights of publicity or privacy.
The technology and software underlying the Service or distributed in connection therewith are the property of JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited, its affiliates, and Service Providers (the "Software").
Subject to the terms and conditions of this User Agreement, JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited hereby grants you a non-transferable, non-sub licensable, and non-exclusive right and license to use the object code of any Software on your device(s) solely in connection with the Service, provided that you agree not to copy (except as expressly provided herein), modify, create a derivative work of, reverse engineer, reverse assemble or otherwise attempt to discover any source code, sell, assign, sublicense, or otherwise transfer any right in the Software. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited.
Acceptable Use
You may use our Services for lawful purposes only and when using the Service, you must not:
- For any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional material, or any other form of spam
- In any way that would locally or internationally evade any applicable taxes or facilitate tax evasion
- Give false or misleading information in the details provided for your account
- In a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect
- Allow another person to use the Service under your name or on your behalf unless you are a business, and such person is authorised by you
- Use the Service if you have been suspended or banned from using it
- Modify, interfere, disrupt, or hack the Service.
- Deal in harmful programs such as viruses, spyware, or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware.
We take breaches of the Rules of Acceptable Use seriously and where necessary we may take all or any of the following actions:
- Immediate, temporary, or permanent withdrawal of your right to use our Service and/or closure of your Account.
- Issuing of a warning.
- Legal action against you including proceedings for reimbursement of all costs on an ‘all expenses’ basis including, but not limited to, administrative and legal costs as a result of the breach.
- Disclosure and reporting of information to law enforcement authorities as we deem necessary.
This list is not exhaustive, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate.
Updates to Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions may be updated over time, so you are strongly advised to check back regularly to ensure you are up to date.
By continuing to use the Service you agree that you have accepted any amended Terms and Conditions.
The Effective Date of these Terms and Conditions is 20th August 2024.
Complaints Procedure
JBM Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited prides itself on a high level of customer service and we aim to resolve any complaints in a timely manner. In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with our Service, please contact us by writing to contactus@jbmremittance.com. We will respond to your complaint within 2 weeks of receipt. If for some reason you are not satisfied, then you may contact the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions will be governed and construed in accordance with English Law and any arising dispute pursuant to these Terms and Conditions will be determined by the courts in England and Wales.
